Charity Update - October 2022

Charity Update - October 2022

We donated $485 to the following charities in October 2022.

Hands of God Charity, Philippines

Facebook page

$100 general donation was made for October 2022. This was distributed to clients in their medical charity program.

We also support a young leukemia patient named Tami and sent $100 to help with her medical expenses during October. Tami continues to undertake regular chemotherapy sessions and has had some issues with allergic reactions to the treatment.

Please pray for her or send healing thoughts that this child can make a full recovery.

Harvester Baptist Church Orphanage, Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Facebook page
We donated $50 which was used to buy food for the orphanage kitchen.

The centre has also started bible school for 10 of the older kids in the orphanage.

I See I Do, Cambodia

Facebook page

We donated $50 which is used for general project costs, such as food supplies, school materials and livestock feed.

I've been supporting this charity since I first saw one of their posts back in 2018. It's been amazing to see their project grow from a simple traditional style building  to a huge compound with poultry farm, aquaculture, dog shelter, school building (with separate computer studies room) and now a new add-on for volunteers to stay.

If you'd like to visit this charity and volunteer your time, please contact Kim via the Facebook page linked above.

 Mission Samburu

Facebook page

We sponsor 2 children through the Mission Samburu project in Africa. The money we send each month helps to pay for their food, housing and education. We plan to contiune sponsoring Esther and Senteyio.

The sponsorship for both kids is approximately $85 USD per month.

Ban Lua Mountain School

Facebook page

This tiny school in the mountain region of Ban Lua in Nan Province is providing education to a small group of mixed level students who wuuld otherwise struggle to attend school. Their teacher is a recent university graduate who cares deelply about these kids and the challenges that they will face in life.

He has been very proactive in starting gardening and fund raising projects which the students do along with their regular lessons.

We are happy to support this school and our donation goes to buying sauces, rice, noodles and other cooking supplies. This is used in conjunction with vegetables that the students grow at school to use in their school lunch program.
