[SOUND of rocket crash landing]

Setting: A sunny afternoon in a suburban backyard. A crashed spaceship (made from cardboard boxes, old containers, aluminum foil, etc) with blinking, slightly wonky lights sits in the yard.

(Three curious kids (Pubbet Sidekicks) - Sam, Ellie May, and Jasper - stand, looking at it wide-eyed.)

(Zoomer, a small, yellow alien with oversized goggles, pops out from the round hatch on the rocket, slightly disoriented. He stumbles a bit, then adjusts his goggles.)

ZOOMER: WOWBADOOBIES! That was a rough landing! Ugh.. Oh! Hi, Earthlings! I’m Zoomer from Planet Bizzaro.

(Grumplesnoot pops his head out from behind Zoomer, causing Zoomer to jump.)

Grumplesnoot: Yeah Zoomer, if you don’t land better, the Intergalactic Police will take away your spaceship driver’s licence.

ZOOMER: Hmph! Woah..WOWBADOOBIES! Where did you come from?!

GRUMPLESNOOT: (Giggles)

SAM: (Pointing) Wow! You guys are aliens!

JASPER: (Clears throat) Ahem… Aliens to our planet, he means.

ELLIE MAY: (Dreamily) And they’re sooo cute!

(Jasper and Sam exchange a quick glance.)

JASPER: Um… Why are you here?

ZOOMER: I’ve come to your planet as an ambassador. I’m from Planet Bizzaro and I have an important message for Earth! You see, back on Planet Bizzaro, we messed up big time! Our planet was turned into a cosmic landfill because of neglect and greed. I’m here to help you Earthlings avoid the same fate.

[Montage of Planet Bizzaro in a state of eco-disaster. Each illustration is revealed with a distinct sound effect.]

Picture #1: A sad fish sitting on a pile of garbage at the bottom of the ocean.

[SOUND of a muffled "glub."]

ZOOMER (V.O.): Our oceans got so polluted the poor fish couldn't even swim.

Picture #2: An angry bird in front of a gray cloudy polluted sky choked with smoke plumes ascending from an array of industrial chimneys.

[SOUND of a choked "caw."]

ZOOMER (V.O.): The sky got so choked up with carbon gasses and industrial pollution, that the birds couldn’t even fly anymore.

Picture #3: A dried-up riverbed, littered with fish bones and carcasses, stuck in the muddy river bed.

[SOUND of dry, crackling earth.]

ZOOMER (V.O.): We wasted so much water that before we knew it, it had all disappeared.

Setting: Interior of house living room.

(The kids listen intently as Zoomer explains.)

ZOOMER: First lesson: recycling! You’ve got to sort your trash. Plastic bottles go in the blue bins, paper in the green bins, and banana peels and such go into compost. Get it?

SAM: Got it!

(Grumplesnoot pops up into frame.)

GRUMPLESNOOT: Good!

[Montage: (Music plays) The gang clean up and toss things into proper bins. They also grab various pieces of junk, adding them to Zoomer’s ship to repair it.]

(Jasper finds an old sock, holds it up…)

JASPER: Eww... But what about old socks?

(Grumplesnoot pops up and sniffs the old sock…)

GRUMPLESNOOT: (coughs and grabs his nose) Ewww!

ALL: (Laughs, giggles, etc.)

ZOOMER: Hmmm… those go into the ‘Sock Nebula’ a special place for lost socks!

ALL: (They all laugh again)

(Zoomer points to a solar panel on the spaceship.)

ZOOMER: Next up, solar power! Use it wisely. Imagine if Planet Bizzaro had solar panels and wind farms, instead of coal plants and dirty petroleum fuel. Huh..We’d still have beaches!

ELLIE MAY: (Dreamily) Beaches are nice.

(A beach ball bounces through the frame, followed by Grumplesnoot, laughing gleefully.)

GRUMPLESNOOT: (Chasing beach ball) Ha, ha, ha, hee, heee, Heeee!

(Zoomer and the others watch Grumplesnoot, shrug… Then, back to the scene.)

ZOOMER: Anyway… Remember, don’t leave your gadgets plugged in all the time. They suck up energy like a black hole!

SAM, ELLIE MAY, JASPER: (In unison): We got it Zoomer!

Setting: Interior bathroom

(Zoomer and the kids look at a water source, such as a faucet or shower)

ZOOMER: Water is precious! Fix leaky faucets, take shorter showers, and don’t waste it. Bizzaro’s oceans turned into sludge. Yuck!

SAM, ELLIE MAY, JASPER: (In unison): We promise!

GRUMPLESNOOT: (popping up into frame) WOWBADOOBIES! Me too!

ZOOMER: Thanks Grumplesnoot!

SAM: What does “WOWBADOOBIES” mean, anyway?

ZOOMER: It’s my special word, meaning; Wouldn’t Our World Be Awesome Doing Only Our Best In Every Situation! Get it?

SAM: Got it

GRUMPLESNOOT: (Pops up) Good!

(The kids gather around Zoomer’s, now repaired, ship.)

ZOOMER: Remember, Earthlings, you are the stewards of this beautiful planet. Let’s keep it clean, green, and full of life! (Zoomer looks around) Uh...Let’s go Grumplesnoot!

(Grumplesnoot pops up from the ship’s hatch)

GRUMPLESNOOT: What are you talking about? I’ve been waiting for you!

ALL: (laugh together)

(Zoomer boards his ship as the gang waves goodbye. As the spaceship’s lights flicker, Zoomer waves goodbye)

ZOOMER: (VO from ship’s speaker) Thanks, Sam, Ellie May, and Jasper! Keep Earth awesome! WOWBADOOBIES!

(The kids wave back.)

SAM: We will, Zoomer!

ELLIE MAY: And we’ll visit Planet Bizarro someday!

JASPER: Yeah, but only if they have ice cream.

(They laugh as Zoomer’s spaceship streaks through the sky and into space.)

SAM: WOWBADOOBIES! Zoomer’s amazing!

ELLIE MAY:(Dreamily) Yeah, He’s outta this World! JASPER: Literally!

(The gang all laugh)

JASPER: (Holding an old sock up) Now, let’s go find that ‘Sock Nebula’! Get it?

ELLIE MAY: Got it!

ALL: GOOD!

(The kids run off, As Zoomer’s Spaceship streaks through the sky and into space.)

Closing Narration: Zoomer came to Planet Earth to help us avoid the fate of his home planet.
